Jimmy’s Pharm Facts :: The Cure for Spring Fever

jimmy blog pictureI am not sure about the diagnosis of everyone else, but I know for certain that everyone around here has a serious case of “Spring Fever”. Evidently whatever blew in from the northwest last week has spread faster than the latest fad at the Junior High and the only people immune are those trying to buy snow gear on Craigslist. The problem with “Spring Fever” is that there are many different strains and there can be a wide range of symptoms. “Spring Fever” does not discriminate and can affect almost anyone after the first mention of the word “baseball”.

At this moment the feed store employees are stricken with 2 cases of “Senior-itis” (the high school kind, not the old people type), 1 case of the “Gardening Bug”, and widespread Vitamin D deficiency that can only be cured by a compound of sun mixed with sand. We are also experiencing mental stress in the form of acute “Chicken Envy”, and the “Spring Rigors”, which is shaking uncontrollably until you have been swaddled by a Bag O’ Chair at an outdoor sporting event. And me, you ask, well I have had this ringing in my ears to the tune of “Here Comes the Sun” for a while now and a bad case of Postnasal Drip. Why do I write of such bleakness? Why would I expose my employees in such a manner? My only excuse is all the pressure, sinus pressure, that is.

But there is hope!! There is a light at the end of this long, long, darkest dark tunnel and it’s my BFF, whose name is Daylight Savings Time. Daylight’s coming, everyone. Daylight’s coming for a long visit, this weekend, and I can’t wait!!
