Here are 3 of our recommendations for problems with fire ants.  In the garden, we recommend Fertilome’s Come and Get It Fire Ant Killer.  It contains Spinosad which is a natural substance made by a soil bacterium and is toxic to insects. Spinosad is classified as an organic substance. We recommend Over ‘n Out for the yard.  One application provides 6 months of Fire Ant Control. It kills the mounds and the queen.  We carry the 11.5 lb bag that covers 5,000 square feet and the 23 lb. bag that covers 10,000 square feet.  One of our all time favorites is Martin’s Surrender Fire Ant killer aka “The Stinky Stuff”. It does have a distinct smell so you don’t want to put it out right before company comes to visit.
